Reading 20: This Fall or next Spring?
.
Now that things are starting to settle a bit, let’s get some opinions as to what to do. Try to have a fall meet or postpone it until May 2021? Post your thoughts and we can always add a poll at a later date. |
Re: Reading 20: This Fall or next Spring?
Since I may, or may not make it, my say doesn't carry much weight, but I think this fall, it'd be a shame to NOT have a Reading Meet in 2020, as it would be the first year without one this century (I believe)

Even a scaled down one for fall would be cool.

If we are fortunate we have maybe a bit over 4 months to go to mke this year’s reality. . |

How about a informal sampling of dates before doing an actual poll? Mid-September to Mid-0ctober? Before Halloween? November starts getting in the election, holidays, another flu season and cooler weather. . |

Mid- Sept. to late Sept. sounds good to me.

Re: Reading 20: This Fall or next Spring?
The damn coronavirus will start making a comeback around mid-October so best if it is before then. I am ok with any time from late August to early October.

I plan to attend this fall if it is held, but will also be keeping an eye out on how things are progressing.

Re: Reading 20: This Fall or next Spring?
PA is starting to tighten up a little bit again as the case count is rising a bit. Hard to say what the 'rona landscape will look like in a few months.
I'm local, and every vacation plan I had this year has been scrapped, so I don't have a date preference. I'm in agreement with the thought that skipping it altogether has some merit. It pains me to say that but it's true. Stay safe! EDIT: Just saw the world's shortest poll thread. Looks like we'll have to wave at one another from very, very far. Here's to a vaccine this fall, and to a prosperous 2021! |
