ebc brake pads- braking news!
i have just been in direct contact with the manufactuers, and they have advised me that they now produce front and rear pads in the advanced
redstuff formulation as of july 07, it will be available through the normal suppliers at a price of 10-15% above the green stuff type i will post the part numbers as soon as i find the paper i wrote them on! |
I never knew EBC made greenstuff pads for our cars.

Seems a totally pointless option then, the reds are way to hard for the type of driving in an SVX!
I tried reds on my evo and even when I was out playing they never really got to an optimum temp so in town and 80% of the time they were crap and they were nosey! I went back to greens and were more than happy. I have greens on my SVX front and rear and never had a pad problem, just the brakes were an after thought & not upto th weightof the car it seems! Reds were originally a track day and motorsport pad. |
front pads are DP3691C
rear pads are DP3821C |
Darren, maybe you should switch to Axxis. I put Axxis ultimates in my front calipers, and WOW, what a difference. The braking is dramatically improved, both cold and hot. The ONLY downside to this pad is that it dusts. A LOT. I mean a LOT OF DUST. But they're quiet, and they perform amazingly well. I have metal masters in back, but I don't think the rear brakes really matter much at all anyway.
