But don't celebrate too hard or you'll be labeled a terrorist and the g-men will come to get you ignoring your rights thanks to the patriot act.

canadian girls aren't that hot though, least IMO. Of course there are always some that are "just throw em down and get to it right there" but on the whole they're like the averages from here. Now european girls on the other hand. :D

Jim-

Do you even know what the Patriot Act is? Why are you so afraid of it?

If you're not a terrorist, money launderer, or tax evader why is it a problem for you?

What are your specific concerns? Not "it violates my rights", but which rights does it violate and how?

Quite true but if you got too excited that either candidate lost, someone could call you in as a suspected terrorist and you could have all your rights ignored and be locked up for a few months thanks to the patriot act.

Shouldn't a world renowned computer hacker be able to easily delete any files that the government has on them???

For anyone who wants some"light" reading. Here is the real Patriot Act from the Library of Congress.

Because it gives the government the power to completely IGNORE people's rights IF they are SUSPECTED to be a terrorist. So even if you aren't a terrorist, this bill affects you, the G-men now HAVE the power to do whatever they want to you, LEGALLY.

It's very scary. Ever heard of give an inch take a foot? I do not TRUST the government, they've abused their old powers plenty of times in the past:

Ever heard of Kevin Mitnick?

"he was held in jail without bail for four years without trial, before finally pleading guilty and accepting a five year sentence"

Four years. No bail. No trial. Yes, he was 'hacking' some company's computer. Was he destorying information? Did he disable the business? Did he change information? No no no no. All he did was look around, and four years of his life were taken without ANY bail or TRIAL.

That is NOT the way this country is designed to work, that's gestapo tactics.

And you know what? If you use a computer at work, and you do something that you're not supposed to, such as change your network printer, install a program, etc, TECHNICALLY, you could be considered a 'terrorist' by the Patriot Act. Hence my HUGE issue with it. The patriot act is NOT patriotic, it removes constitutional rights if the goverment SUSPECTS you of wrongdoing. No trial. No bail. No courts. IF they suspect you, you can be completely and totally screwed. No checks and balances- NOTHING.

Everyone should be against the patriot act, and the patriot act is the MAIN reason that I'm not voting for Bush. That said, I hate Kerry as well, since he represents big gov and high taxes and more gov intervention, so I suggest we all vote third party. :P

I love when someone uses another person's opinion as the concrete evidence to support their own. It always makes me laugh.

Thanks for the humor break. I needed one today.
