The convertible did the auto show circuit this year. Neat car. And it's about time Ford did a total redesign. Maybe this car will do more than go in a straight line.
I had a '67 (check my locker) which I see some of the features in the 2005!
Thinking back
In 1967, I choose between a 67 Mustang and 67 Camaro. I bought the 67 Camaro. If I remember correctly, I paid $3,500. for it. Times have certainly changed! :)
...And where is the Camaro today??
I saw that car in real life at the autoshow. Nice looking car but how much do you want to bet that the design will be changed so much by the time it reach production that it will not look like that car at all.

Im far from a Ford or Mustang fan but they sure did an excellent job of updating the original fastback design from the late 60's. It's almost remarkable how true it is to the original, yet it looks like a new 2005 design. Very good job Ford did with that. I hope it makes it to production. The T-bird did and my bet is that it will too. The only thing I don't like about this new 'Stang is the interior from what little we can see in those photos. I bet that GM will be kicking themselves for retiring the F-body once they see this! :)
I've always been more of an F-body fan, but I love the late 60's stangs. And I'll love this one if it comes out.
The Thunderbird and now maybe this? Makes you wonder what retro beasts GM is working on behind the scenes. Well, besides this . :) |

I was afraid that you would ask me about it. I sold it for $750.00 in 1985 because the engine was going to need some work. It had 150,000 miles on it, gas was going up to $0.65 / gal and I bought a more economical car. Boy, I wish I had that car today! It was perfect except for the engine needing a little work. 4 on the floor, Deepwater Blue with white bumble bee stripe across the front. Don't make me think about it. Oh well. :) |
I sold and shipped it to a guy in New Zealand (I needed cash for a mmmm...mmmmm...O.K. ... wedding costs)!! Sold it for 7700.00!! I sure do miss it!
