I promote ethical treatment of animals, but I despise PETA.

Want to talk about Hippocratic behavior? Front woman Pamela Anderson raised $65k dollars for PETA with the auction of her Dodge Viper super-car. I will admit, that I physically was not there to inspect the car, but below is an image from the auction site. Standard equipment on such cars include leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped gear shifter & e-brake handle, as well as lever boots. WTF! Even the description of the car by the auction house notes, "luxurious leather interior."

I think she should get honorable mention on the Penn and Teller Showtime show of Bull****. She was so animate about PETA that in June 2006 she posed nude (minus some strategic view blocking banners) in London to protest fur being used in modern fashion. The banner had text on it that read, "I'd rather bare skin than wear skin." Good grief, yet she has no problem sliding her million dollar bottom across her Vipers leather (yes, dead animal skin) seats? What does she think as she fondles that beautifully wrapped leather gear shifter and steering wheel? Is she that clueless? No wait, don't answer that just yet.

Just as short as a couple months ago Jessica Simpson was photographed wearing a shirt with the text on it that said, "Real girls eat meat." Then Miss boob watch Anderson while doing an Australian radio show verbally dissed Jessica regarding her shirt with such comments of "I think she is a bi&ch and who%e." She closed the comment with, "Actually, I don't know if she was talking about food or men."

In my opinion, her purchasing the car to begin with was supporting something she claims to be against. I too drive a car with a leather wrapped wheel, shifter, e-brake handle and seats. But I am not stripping bare for PETA with claims of preference to wanting to be naked versus wear animal skins, yet buy and drive a car loaded with it. Yes, she sold it. Horray for her. I wont place any money on the bet, but hypothetically speaking, I am sure she has a closet full of shoes and boots all with leather content.

Sorry, about my rant. The car on ebay for sale with the PETA add really set me off. I will close by noting again I am not an animal abuser, I despise PETA, and yes, on occasion I eat animal proteins.

It would be nice to see what the car looks like as well. They don't even have a picture of it. Maybe the fish eye lense would make it look funny.

And yes, I agree with Chris. I am a member of PETA - People who Eat Tasty Animals.
