SVX on fire
 

There was a SVX on the side of Rt 24 here in Mass. two days ago that caught on fire randomly while the owner was driving. There was no accident involved it just started smoking and then caught on fire. My friend drove by it on the way to class and said that the owner was standing nearby just watching, helpless to put it out. The fire department eventually came and put it out, but they towed the what was left before I got there to take pics. My friend said that it was silver with a black trunk and spoiler so I'm guessing that it was a '92. May it R.I.P. (taps being played in background)

I'm always sad when I see trashed SVXes... unless they're teal. I hate teal. Why would they make such a cool car, then paint it a crappy colour? :p

Ruptured fuel line, power steering leak (both igniting on the exhaust), NO2.... anything else?

I've heard of cars catching fire even with severe oil leaks. Could have been debris under the hood which caught fire also; maybe leaves, animal nests (if it had been sitting), or even pieces of the underhood sound deadening materials.

I hate teal cars too.. especially ford probes, but I also hate all ford probes, and pretty much all fords.
