cheep trans mount??
where do I go for a cheep trans mount... the dealer told me almost $200 for one today.....and $38 for a exhaust gasket (post cat) that is just nuts! im starting to think this SVX is to rich for my blood (being im fixing something new every week...its getting old....I have only put like 18k on the car since I had it and I have put more into it then I paid for it.....and I havnt even hit 100k yet... time to go honda or toyota !....ok maybe not)

The only "cheap" alternative to a new mount will a salvaged part. You might try subaruparts.com to beat the dealership's quote, but their shipping rates take a good chunk out of any savings.
Remember, a fifteen year old Honda or Toyota will ding your pocketbook from time to time, too. dcb |
I was hoping on a aftermarket.....guess not. and trust me a honda or toyota will not even come close to doing the damage this SVX has done
windshield (cost me almost $1000.. find me a hond widnshield for that!) rebuild trans harmonic balancer P/S pump P/S cooler alt second trans MAF powerseat belt modual both front axles drive shaft another alt flex plate front diff now that is all with in the last 18k and my car has a bit over 80k on it. now here is my line up of other cars 90 f250 90k 02 volvo v40 110k 96 celica 170k 87 dakota 115k 96 eclipse 160k 94 wrangler 130k 95 explorer 185k and I have spent more money on the svx then all of my other cars togeather... but for some reason I still like the POS |
I may have a good used one for like $85
