Reading NINE Hotel Information
 

I have been in contact with Sydney Simpson at the Morgantown HI to give her a heads up for reservations that weekend.

Since we ran out of accommodations at the 35-room level, I decided to up the quantity to 50 rooms. This year the room cutoff will be 60 days prior to the start of the meet.

This means that if you are even remotely thinking of attending, get on the list early to secure your room. Your CC will not be charged and you can cancel up to 24 hours before you are scheduled to arrive.

This will be easier than trying to add rooms to a smaller block at the last minute. You could even reserve more than one room and sell it to someone who finds out about this too late to get a room.

I am also in discussions about our dissatisfaction with the last-minute Saturday lunch changes and how to prevent this in the future. We will also discuss how we can make it better and run more efficiently than last year.

Breakdown of Rooms:
40 rooms with two queen beds.
10 king suites with one king bed
If we fill up this block early enough and need more queen beds, we should be able to add/substitute.

I just got off the phone with them. They won't let me book until you sign the contract. :mad: Let me know when you do it, the earlier I make reservations, the less likely my boss can send me to canada or california for business trip that weekend. :D :D :D Come on, we've only got 350ish days until it's time! What's taking so long???

Yes John. What's taking so long. There are 25 people signed up so far and we can't make reservations. You want us to get them early! :D :D

The hotel is emailing me the contract as we speak. I will sign it and send it back to her.Once she has it in her system I will let everyone know when to begin calling.

According to the Countdown Clock, it is now 48.5 weeks away. ;)

Important Reminder
 

Even if you are only thinking about going, book a hotel room. You can always cancel just before Reading if you have to. Your CC will not be charged until after you have checked out.

Doing it this way, if we fill our block of rooms early, we can always have more added to the list.

Last year people wait until the last minute to book rooms and we ran out. It was hard to get more because no rooms left on such short notice to add to the block; they were reserved by others
