Factory Stereo security code
 

Hi , im just wondering how id go about finding the security code for my 1993 Subaru SVX .

Also i *think i have the code , im not sure , but how do you input it , like is there any combination of buttons you have to press ?

ive tried using the search feature but cant find any information about this , if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be helpful.

There is no security code as far as I know. I changed the stereo in two 1992s and a '97 with no need for one. They may be different in NZ though.

All indications are that Subaru did not use any kind of code on the unit, but there may be a trouble code if a disc gets stuck in the unit.

On the underside of the unit is a large white printed window with a code on it, but since the unit was not like (Smart) phones of current days, then there should not be the need for a code.

Unless I missed it, there is not a code discretion module in the wiring for the unit either.

I have had the battery out of my '94 many times, and, never had to enter a code to get the stock stereo working again.

I am not aware of any security code needed. I have changed the units without any problems. :)
