I'm not usually the kind of guy who cares what other people post about other people. However, kwren, in almost every other post would either make some sort of snide remark about another person's response, would just quote his own response and say how good it was, or make some other sarcastic remark that contributed nothing to the thread. I think it's safe to say that the first and latter of these three is why he finds himself visiting Time Out.

SVX owners come to this forum either because they like the other people here or because they need help. A significant number of kwren's posts served to aid neither of those causes; they alienated other users or were just plain not helpful. For example, posting in a car thread about how Barack Obama's change is not the one we were looking for and some how relating it to the car is not helpful. Okay, that point may be valid, but keep it in political (or the PeePee as we call it on NASIOC). Also, direct attacks at other users (aka flaming) is not acceptable on any forum, large or small; and is especially hurtful on smaller forums.

On NASIOC, talking political anywhere other than in the PeePee gets you points. On NASIOC, flaming gets you points. When you get a certain number of points, you visit Time Out. When you visit Time Out a few times, eventually you have to say good bye.

I'm disappointed when any contributing member of this forum gets banned. Both Trevor and kwren did contribute to the wealth of knowledge found on SVXWN. However, other users are going to feel afraid to access that wealth if they know they're going to get ridiculed by another user who has an ax to grind for one reason or another. So, for the sake of those afraid users and the sanity of the overall community and administration, those trouble making users are asked to leave.

It must have happened recently. However, I'm a fan of forum administration where these things are done silently; no big shoutout as to why a user got banned. Fellow users on the forum, if they're on enough, know exactly why a user got banned and administration explanation need not be explicit; I think it should be kept to PM's. It's kind of like kicking someone out of your town and then, while they can still see you, putting a big giant poster up as to why you kicked them out. I'm not a fan of that style of administration.

I believe that He has a 30 day time out for being insulting to other members.
I could be wrong.
I am only allowed out of the gagage for very short intervals.:rolleyes:

It seemed to get worse after Trevor was banned, like he thought he could get away with it indefinitely since he wasn't banned as well.

Hopefully, if it IS a 30 day, he will be a little more picky about interjecting on stuff just to make a random comment, or disagreeing just for the sake of argument.

It seems to me that "The Powers That Be" allow alot of latitude,
allowing members to express themselves in a very colorful manor,
as long as they do not antagonize, insult, or harass other members!
They have kept this site very family friendly, and I appreciate this.

Is it just me or did anybody else find the lil sunglass smiley guy after every post the most annoying thing in the world. I bet I would'nt have found the guy even half as abrasive if I did'nt have to see every one of his posts end like that ^^
