Just curious
I'm thinking Pioneer AVH-P3300BT Double Din DVD/CD with a bunch of front inputs
Does anybody have any experience with this unit or similar? |

Just plugged my usb cable in and it worked perfectly. Also You need some sort of kit I think mine is a relay, so the deck thinks the e-brake is on. |

Don't know if I'm all that interested in watching video while I drive. I like that I can plug all my gadegts into the front. I've already played with one at Best Buy and was absolutely impressed by the stuff I could do with my IPod Touch. Many thanx, thats the nod I needed to get it ordred on E-Bay |
Re: Just curious
I have that unit in one of my SVXs as well. Great unit, love it. The only complaint I have is that, unless I am missing something, power goes to the antenna when any source is selected even if you aren't listening to the radio. I hardly ever listen to the radio but the power antenna goes up every time I use the unit . I think I am going to have to somehow put an external antenna switch on it to prevent this. If I am missing something please let me know!

Mine has an older after market piece of turd in it now. The antenna goes up the moment you turn it on. Doesn't matter whether a cassette or CD is in play. I suppose it just works that way and even though I too rarely listen to the radio, I think I can live with it |
Re: Just curious
I installed a switch inline with the power antenna wire and put it through the top of the coin holder. If I ever desire to listen to the radio I can put it up.

You can see the blue switch tucked under the edge of the center console. Quote:
More pictures I just took so its plenty of daylight. http://localserver.no-ip.biz/Public/SVX%20Radio1.jpg http://localserver.no-ip.biz/Public/SVX%20Radio2.jpg http://localserver.no-ip.biz/Public/SVX%20Radio3.jpg http://localserver.no-ip.biz/Public/SVX%20Radio4.jpg and a close up of the antenna switch http://localserver.no-ip.biz/Public/...a%20Switch.jpg Another thing to note I am not running a amp or subs but the options for that are very good. I am running a sat radio input through the rear inputs. |
Re: Just curious
Ok....so just that I have this straight, cause the Bluetooth is important to me, I'm in sales and spend 60% of my day on the road.
Thing won't recognize when its parked so you will never be completely compatable with the Bluetooth or play video unless you install the special adapter? Or Its will only work properly with my Bluetooth and play video when I am parked? And, where does one buy the devise that makes everything work as it should? |

I believe the "correct" adapter can be gotten from any stereo place. However I believe the adapter is just a relay. My installer only installed a relay and most of the functionality is there. I have only a couple never used options that tell me I can not use them as im not "parked" Those options are auto eq setup and if I remember correctly a screen calibration tool. Of note though I have never had any trouble with the screen calibration and all manual EQ settings work fine. |
