It would be nice to meet up this year.

We're still on the JAE organisers mailing list. Does anybody want to do a stand at the JAE this year? It's the 8th/9th September at Wicksteed Park in Northamptonshire.

Well Steve I'm not sure what to do now having read your post about the LPG conversion as I had bought you a baseball cap especially for the event which of course you would have to wear 'back to front' to blend in with 90% of the crowd. I spoke to Arthur this Sunday at the Pistonheads South Coast breakfast meeting, some nice photos of Arthurs SVX on there folks if you care to find it on the Pistonheads site and we are still going to Japfest (with an extra baseball cap if anyone wants one)

OK, if there's a cap going free I'll get there. And, I may add I've sent some really baggy jeans off to have the waistband lowered to show some serious arse cleavage. Going to felt tip a tribal tattoo 'sleeve' for the day too. Transferred my recording of a hot drop forging foundry to a cd and made a bad earth connection to the stop lights so they flash with the beat. I am struggling to get up a constant excess of saliva for the spitting though.
Just finishing off the LED array and connecting the boost blow off whoosher speaker to the nitrous purge vents now cut in the bonnet.
No one's gonna be dissing this dude eh?

Despite the lure of a free hat, I can't come to the Japfest. I have to cover for someone at work, sorry Dave. Hope you enjoy all those hissing blow off valves though. Can't knock turbo's really though can you, turning an exhaust 'baffle' into a supercharger was a stroke of genius. Motor never feels quite as instantly connected with your right foot, but I guess we have all learned to cope.

Bought a set of 18" wheels btw, but they looked naff on the car. Rear gearbox mtg now sorted with my mate's ingenuity/drilling/tapping/bonding. No more propshaft clanging on the trans tunnel so happy days.

Never mind, at least there will be two SVX's to remind folks that these wonderfull cars are still around (although PhilH has not been well so may not attend) I do hope that all of us who made it to Cosford all those years ago can meet up again before too much time passes because it is a wonderful place to visit plus the Hotel I stayed at is worth another visit. So despite the current climate in every sense of the word getting in the way of things lets not loose sight of what could be a great re-union.

Sorry I can't come to see it. I understand that this type of event attracts nubile, barely clad, fit women? Bit of a photo report wouldn't go amiss for the younger members unable to attend, should you get chance to take a few snaps. I could have a look too...
