How Much Would You Ask For This 92?

My father is thinking about selling his SVX and wants to know what the going rate would be for a car in such good condition and low miles.

State SVX is in: New York

Year: 1992

Model: LS-L

Paint Color: Burgundy/Black

Interior Color: Grey Leather/Suede

Miles: 38K

Location: Long Island, NY

Options: Rear Spoiler

AWD or FWD: AWD

Modifications: None

Major service: Just had the brake rotors resurfaced, drained and replaced brake fluid

Engine Condition: Excellent

Maintenance Records: Should have complete records including original bill of sale.

Transmission condition: Excellent

Glass condition: Excellent

Type of wheels: OEM alloys

Interior condition: Excellent

Body condition: Excellent

Comments about the car: Second owner...Have owned the car for the last 4 years and put approximately 4,000 miles on it.

Car looks to be in great condition. But the corrosion on the intake makes me think there is more hiding underneath of it. W/o looking too hard at it I would say $7-8k wouldn't be asking too much for such a low mileage car

You could get 8000 I would bet, maybe off of someone on here. Earl may want it because he collects SVXi.

8-10 would be a good guess for such low miles

Anything less than...

12,000 would be insane (cross out insane) go with unrealistic.
Hang onto it for a couple of months for me while I save up 12,000 if no one shows up with at least that much, please.

Realistic and insane are certainly two different fields.

;)

I don't think those pictures do the car justice. That interior is absolutely beautiful, I haven't seen one that nice in years. You could easily get 12k if you are willing to sit on it for a while. Also brush off that oxidation on the intake and replace the foam strip in front of the radiator, then you are good to go.

Acording to my graph that I started a while back, which goes by miles and years, it would be in the range of $8k to $10k. If there are other factors, it could be less. :)

Hmm....deffinently 8-11k, depending on how long your willing to hold out

Where the heck is JeffN? I know he's been looking for a cherry for quite some time, and I THINK he lives somewhere near you:)

Thanks for all the replies...we are definitely more informed about the value of the car now and will take some of the advice to make the car even more desirable. If it goes up for sale, it will probably be within the next few weeks, so keep your eyes out for it. Personally, I wish I could just put it in storage and save it for later on down the road when I need a more practical car but my father wants to get rid of it and I kinda want my spot in the driveway back. This is my my baby...
