Transmission number question

I just bought a 92 SVX that had the tranny replaced back in '99. I was just wondering what year this tranny is. The tranny number is 31000AB860R1.

It is likely a remanufactured unit from 92, although I am unsure how to read the transmission number.

The 31XXX designation on a Subaru part refers to the drivetrain. Call your dealer parts guy and have him run it for you. Wawazat, you don't have a dealer parts guy? You will!:)
