Drag Racing Meet and Eat June 2nd In New Jersey
Well, just getting back from Reading yesterday and it is official. I have the bug. I will be hosting a drag racing meet for Thursday June 2nd at Atco Dragway in New Jersey. The Gates open at 4:30 and that is when I would like to meet there. I hope that anyone who is working can either take off or take a half day. This should give many people plenty of time to plan ahead now. Well, of course there will be drag racing but if that is not your thing, spectators and cheerleaders are more than welcome.
Racing for unlimited runs is $12 (I bleieve, they might have changed it this year) Specators only pay $8 I will contact the raceway and see if we can reserve a lane for us if maybe we pay a little more I will keep you updated with more info. If not we can always race as normal. Please sign up when you know you can make it so I can keep the track updated. If anyone has any questions feel free to visit the site listed below or contact me at (609) 276-7279 or shoot me a pm. Atco Raceway Then we can go to a local restaurant or diner afterwards to compare times and just gab while getting something to eat. After that we can split and call it a day. Hopefully we will not have a visit from the meet monster that seems to be claiming an SVX here and there. 1. Tomssvx |

Hmmm, a Thursday afternoon drag meet - shouldn't be too many crowds. :)
I'm in but it's contingent on being able to get both Thursday and Friday off of work as I'll be coming up from VA. Not sure if I'll want to head straight home that night or crash somewhere... 1. Tomssvx 2. soobiesvx93 3. Chiketkd -Chike P.S. Whether it's raining or sunny weather, I'll come up early Thursday Tom so that we can do my front seals. Thnx. :) |

It is about 40 minutes from where we met up for the Jersey Shore Meet II. JUst it is west and a little south of there. Atco has directions on the site i listed above. Tom |

Hey, all motor 5spd vs all motor 4EAT will be a great showdown. That's the ticket. :) -Chike |
Ill run my SVX with a oil leak and we'll see those 17's come out. Im not afraid damnit.....lets rally..I'll show you who's boss  :p :D

Chike, for some ungodly reason, the motor in your SVX is very strong. I have a very good feelin you will be the winner of the N/A motor challenge between us.
Tom, I will be doin Chike's seals before the races on thursday, If you want to come out, I will demonstrate how to do it on Chike's car and then I will lead you two on doing them in your car. Then , there will be no more oil leaks while drag racing our SVXi. I just sent an Email to Atcoraceway and asked them about maybe getting special arraingments for our own lane and I am waiting to hear back from them. I doubt that they will do it but we will see, it is worth a shot. Tom(trying to write a 3 term papers and keep on top of things) Is anyone else comming to this meet?? |

I actually feel our cars will be pretty evenly matched. You will have less drivetrain loss to the wheels and your 4.11 5spd trans is no slouch. Personally, it will probably come down to the launch/ reaction off the line. Whoever gets out first will probably end up winning. -Chike |
thats why I need some practice runs, I have never run my 5MT. Plus i wanna see what kinda time im gonna get anyway. I just need to wait until i get some money as the IRS and my Insurance bills have almost sent me into the RED!!!

SVX motors are pretty bulletproof :)
