which knock sensor is which

ok i just spent $60 on a knock sensor and almost had an anurism installing it.

i replaced the one on the drivers side. but my cel is still on and the code is number 22(right side sensor).
does that mean right side as if you were driving the car.
the doosh bag who sold me the car told me he replaced the other one. he even showed me the cracked old one so i believe him.
if its just a loose wire im going to kill myself.
but on the bright side, if the one i replaced wasnt bad. i could just install that one on the other side. or have a spare knock sensor.

"left" and "Right" are usually as viewed from the driving position. To avoid confusion, think rigt hand drive is the passenger side, left is drivers (Unless, of course..it isnt)

yes thats not very not unconfusing?.!

the drivers side is left side. i unpluged the knock sensor and code 28(left side knock sensor) came up.
it also threw a code for LH O2 sensor inoperative(37).i figure thats because the KS is unplugged.
Im also now getting code 56(EGR system (cal.)).

oh yah another question.
if i use the first pin on the top left of the "black connector" when im checking my codes i can here a relay clicking or something, and it throws a different code. code #12(abnormal signal from ignition switch) to be exact.

Is that a stored code or something? and my codes do not clear by plugging the wires in pin 1 and 2.
i have to diconnect my batt. for a while.
