Reading IX Dinner Thread

Now that the lunch issue for Saturday is taken care of, we have to turn our attention to DINNER arrangements. Cafe 110 has provided us with excellent meals in the past and I see no reason why we should not consider their services this year.

Comments and suggestions are welcome. Let's get this thread rolling...

The Cafe 110 does indeed prepare a delectable feast each year, and the hospitality is wonderful, not to mention being able to "contribute" to Hocrest's sis. The only drawback to the place is the arrangement of the rooms/tables, forcing us to wander from room to room to mingle :D.

I'm also wondering if it will be big enough for the gathering we're expecting this year -- I guess we will have to gauge interest before we can tell.

Just my $.02.

BTW, anything is fine with me, even McD's and Asti in the parking lot!

I think you should let it open for people to do whatever they want. I for one would rather eat at a quality place like 110 then some slapped together expensive all you can eat place. If you can't tell I think the all you can eat place sucks. :D

Hocrest's sister is a subaru owner too...I feel you should always support one of your own first.

I guess it's obvious what I voted for ;)

Di, I know what you mean about the seating arrangements, another possible option if we get it organized ahead of time is to have her cater at
a local hall??

I'm guessing that she would need to know the details in the next few weeks, so if that is something we should look into, let me know soon.

Have we any further, updated information on the Cafe 110 Dinner arrangements?

Location, menu, prices?

I'll be down there tomorrow and try to get some more details on Saturday's dinner. Her Friday night specials should be here, www.cafe110.com

BYOB restaurant? that is so not allowed in colorado!

subeman90 04-14-2008 02:48 PM

I'm really surprised that PA would allow you to do BYOB. You can drink in a restaurant but you can't buy beer just anywhere.. yeah that makes sense to me

so how are you getting to Reading anyhow??? are you renting a car?
