Thanks
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help that I have received here on this site. I have saved more money and (more importantly) frustration than I could have ever hoped for. I have fixed my $$ water pump for a couple of bucks, my rear bearings for half the price, and now my power window switch for free:D so Thanks to you all.

Gosh, what are you going to do now? ;)

Oh, believe me there is plenty left. Lets see, cruise control not working, sun roof needs adjusting, a/c shuts off after I start the car, then comes on, then goes off again, front wheel bearings, c/v joints, and oh yeah the transmission slips between second and third. I am trying to ignore that last one:rolleyes:

Keep the Circle of Knowledge growing, Blue.:)
With your new DIY expertise, you will be able to help newcomers who develop the same problems. It's possible you have less than optimum gas in your a/c. It is designed to shut off if pressure is too low to save the pump running without lubricant, which is in the gas. Get the a/c guys to check your pressures. Probably all you need is a top-up. Joe:) |
As far as your Cruise not working, Blue, check the firewall on the drivers side near the brake fluid resevoir. There is a vacuum line for the cruise control that connects to a fitting near there. It is very common for it to get knocked loose when checking the transmission fluid. It happened to me once and someone showed me how simple it is to fix. 9 times out of 10 it is the likely cause. Give it a shot. :)
