Smoke
I am getting some smoke out of my exhaust after driving the car hard. Normal driving conditions there's no smoke at all, but after pushing it hard, there's some white smoke for about 5 minutes or so, and then it's gone. What would cause this? Piston rings?

White smoke? Black is too rich on fuel, Blue, usually oil. White as a general rule from coolant which is actually steam or vapor. Head gasket failures are a frequent culprit but not being a real SVX sleuth, I'll just leave my .02 cents & hope some one has an idea about specific failures that result in your observed problem.

ug, i hope it's not headgasket, i'm not properly equipted where i am to tackle a job like that... that's what i was thinking, coolant, but i was hoping it might be something else.

Check if youre loosing coolant, and check both the coolant and oil for mixing. Hopefully its just a fluke.

coolant or some other form of water... How heavy is the smoke??

come to think of it... mass oil burning is white(had it happen when I lost a cylinder in my ebony) Hope this is not the case

I've checked oil and coolant multiple times, no mixing at all, and neither are every down a significant amount. It doesn't smoke at all during normal daily driving, only when i beat on it for a bit.
