tips for radiator change?
hey guys,
Im installing my new version 2 aluminum rad tomarrow and i just wanted any tips you guys might have on changing radiators and ATF fluid? thanks! |
I haven't done any aluminum installs but as for the OEM rad I find it easier to install/remove with the fans attached.

Radiator Cushions
Depending on the part of the country/world your car grew up the cushions the "bumps" on the bottom corners of the rad rest in should be inspected. All the FSM says is "Fit cushions on body and install radiator", and as I recall they look like they might even find their way out of the car with the old radiator?? Or be in pieces??
Keep in mind I did this job some months back, and I'm old ;) Glenn |
Radiator change
I found that when i clamp the upper and lower hoses i dont have to bleed the system....just make sure you hook the hoses back up and fill the radiator up first :)
