i've ran my car for about 2 or 3 months with the five speed then it blew and now the engine is toast...So i guess i kinda count...

TomsSVX 10-28-2004 12:42 PM

5/6 speeds in progress still count as long as they are going to be functional in the future. Not just a scrapped project.

Astralbody had gotten hers in and working, though with a few bugs still. She had to sell it, so I guess she could count.

ask a certain Range Rover dealer about the early Ranges (1975-76-77...) he would tell you how the dodge tranny was installed on them and then you would know how to do the 6mt on your SVX...

want-a-fast-svx 10-29-2004 09:05 AM

i dont know why you keep posting this nonsense about cutting up the tranny and using it like a dodge tranny. If you search for six speed in the search function you will see there is a running six speed that bolts right up to the engine. Like it was mentioned earlier, no modification to the case of the tranny itself is needed. Just thought i'd clarify that for ya...

I had mine done for around 1 year now, but iam in the procces of chainging, or upgrading to a spec stage 3, the stage 2 wouldent hold the power for me.

The six speed bell housing bolts up to the eg33. Its that simple. there is no need for modification. The only fab you will have to do is mount, pedals, and shift linkage(plus some other stuff). No modifying the bellhousing. Say it with me.... "NO MODIFYING THE BELL HOUSING>" that should do the trick
