Murano rims
Just picked up a set, like new for $100
Now I can save for some rubber. Anywho what works better for ride quality 225/40 or 225/45 or won't I even notice. though I think the 40 might be a lil big for the rim. |

The 45's will ride nicer, but the 40's will be closer to stock tire diameter

I'm thinkin the rim width is the issue.
I know the 45's will be taller. On a 7" rim I was thinkin it might be tight gettin a 40 on? I wanted to try 18's and this deal seemed the cheapest way so now it's figuring out the rubber. |

Saw that murano rims fit and looked pretty good so............ Since my OE rims are mounted backwards, 18's seemed the way to go. :D Pretty sure they're 18x7". Which is why i was thinking 45 vs.40, due to rim width. I was hoping for somewhat better handling due to stiffer sidewall. I got the mudding tires taken care of thanx. :p |
They are 18x7.5" with a 35mm offset. It comes fairly close to rubbing in the rears depending on your right height and alignment.

Found some 225/40 Fierce HP's on craigslist, $325obo
buy? or save for better rubber like this? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku though i'll buy local, since i can get a deal on bfg's and they hold up on my other heavy ass rides. |
might not be a bad plan to buy the used ones and see how you like the ride on that size. that way if you don't care for it, you're not out all that much money.
