Slider Pulley?

 I am a Newbie so please bear with me, I have a Chilton's book (which i think sucks) but it calls the Tension adjustor a "Slider Pulley"? I have checked the parts stores online and can not find this part listed, are there other names for this part. My Crankshaft Pulley came apart and i want to fix everything in one go, also have a oil leak so want to pull the oil pump too. But i need this part number to replace the Bearing on the slider bolt.
Thank for the help.

What i am trying to say is that i have been to Subaruparts.com and 1stSubaruparts.com and can not find the part, or the part# for the Bearing for the Slider Pulley. Getting to Subaruparts.com is no problem, everything else is.

If you're referring to (what I call) idler pulleys for belt tensioning, I doubt Subaru carries replacement bearings for these; they'd rather you buy the whole assembly. Pretty sure I've read here of someone disassembling and repacking (or replacing?) these, though. You might want to do a search. Good luck.

My dad just replaced the bearing in mine. He did it while I was waiting for the replacement pulley from Subaru. I'm not sure where he got the bearing from.

Pulley Assembly

 I have been looking for the "Pulley Assembly-Idle Air Conditioner" Part# 73015PA000 which cost $42.37; S&H $7.95 so thats $50.32, but all i need is the Bearing which i found for$8.00 plus $1.16 taxes. What i did find out was that the Pulley was put on backwards, and that was why my A/C belt broke just before the crankshaft pulley came apart. I now have an Underdrive Pulley for the crank, and a new Timing belt to put on after i replace the O-ring behind the Oil Pump along with the oil pump seal. I just don't want to take the Timing belt off again any time soon. Thanks for all the help.
Drive fast, be safe and be happy.

Do you have a part number off the bearing you used, and where did you get it.

I've been tring to track this down for some time now.

Pulley bearings

;) There is only one nut that holds the pulley in place, undue nut belt will go loose and remove the wheel and bring it to a shop that rebuilds starters/Alt. and there set you up for under $10. You can also bring it to NAPA and let them look it up, but in either case its going to be cheaper then getting it from Subaru. Good luck. let me know how it goes.

:rolleyes:Sorry to tell you but the 6202lu bearing is for the Alt. and not the power steering. The P/S bearing is smaller.

O well I'll have to take the pully off when I rebuld my power steering pump.

Earthworm 01-20-2005 04:13 PM

I thought you were referring to the tensioner pulley bearing?

AFBeefcake 01-20-2005 04:18 PM

yes, tensioner pulley bearing. I want to replace that at the same time as rebulting my power steering pump.
