Been looking for one now for about half a yr
and found one in a small town outside Phx.
Nice rust free Az car been sitting for 13 yrs alongside
a house here in Az.
Drove up and picked it up early this morning
about 7am to avoid or try to avoid the heat (haha)
Needs some restoring, but thats what I was wanting.
1969 SS Camaro 350 300hp Auto
12bolt, PDB, and BB style hood.
Orig color was Garnet Red w/ offwhite Vinyl top
and blk deluxe interior.
Going to start working on it this week.

Very nice! Makes me remember the '68 I built from the ground up back in my "younger days" :D

Hopefully I'll be picking up a 73 soon to go with the 75 280Z. It strange, I was married we couldnt afford a second car, even with 2 incomes. Now I'm single and about to get number 4. Granted only 1 is currently running, but number 2 should be done by the end of next week. I took all of next week off to finish it.

thats cool...
Let me know if you are ever looking for a nice rust free
candidate. They pop up around here for sale quite a bit.
Sun damage, but basically zero rust on them

How much do they usually go for?

Glad to see a GM in your possession Dayle. Of course anything is better then a blue oval! :)

1969 was arguably the best year for GM muscle. So are you going to turn this one into a "Yenclone"? :)

Here's my dad's 1969 SS (Nova):

Do you really want to make that stang look bad? I don't think it would appreciate being reminded of where it stands. :p

Motorsport-SVX 06-27-2005 11:16 PM

in all serious

Im not going thru the whole Ford vs Chevy on
this thread
Over the yrs I learned that everyones made cars that deserve respect and ones Id like to own...no matter who
they are made by.
Being a car enthusiest, thats what one does.
A good example of that is Jay Leno (and he has the $
to back up his likes) I can appreciate the Camaro for
what it is and love its looks, always have the earlier yrs.

I can still have a fav, that being the Boss of course. ;)

Back in the late 70's my dad bought a 75 240Z and a 79 280Z when he was in Saudi Arabia. He upgraded the 240Z by installing 4 carburators instead of 2. He still remembers it to that day by saying:"what a monster..."
:D :D

The Z was a modern day "Import" affordable Muscle Car
for its time. The early yrs all where fun to drive, mod out
and race in a variety of venues.
It looks right at home sitting next to the SS, both have
excellent heritage and where warriors on the street in their day. Looking for a nice Mopar or Pontiac for the next addition.
