Took off the chromes for now, installed some
17" Ace lite-weight rims and 235-40-17s.
That and a our prototype CF Jdm wing.

Hope to lower it soon and add some CF Front Splitters
this week

not to bad....

Wing is nice, but gold wheels look like crap on anything even vaguely sporty, I think.

Gold wheels on a black car have always looked sweet in my book. I've seen a few STI's at the track with this combo, and it drops my jaw each time...

yeah, the wing is definitely pretty nice. How much do you think it'll sell for (estimate) Dayle? The wheels look too skinny, if they had thicker spokes it would look better.

Motorsport-SVX 03-09-2005 09:48 PM

for the cost of the wheels

and only about 17lbs each, they where the best choice
Also I installed black lugnuts, and in a few weeks
some Cadium plated slotted rotors.
With those open wheels, they will be more visible

I'm with Chike on this particular Black&Gold look. I like it. Reminds one of the Lotus Europa Specials.

I love the black and gold look on that car. Very nice looking :D

intellibomb 03-09-2005 11:50 PM

very nice.

those rims make it look more like subaru than the bling bling :)....

looks good for sure!

keep it up dayle!

i think that that car like that with the blackout headlights and rear lights (like on that other thread that is going on right now)

would be cool looking

Nasty !!! but i would have preferred 18" ones... any pic?

msvx95 03-10-2005 03:18 AM

Wing looks good from far away, but up close it doesn't match the car.
Reminds me of the carbon fiber hoods, in which I still don't understand the concept of not matching the color of the car.

Those look alright Dayle... They look like the Rota SubZero's... Is there a way that you can get gold wheels that look like the Rota Actions (Wheels that "Bigblue" has)... That's when I'd be interested :)... The wang is a good shape (same as the JDM WANG) but the carbonfiber just doesn't look all that great (IMHO)...

Lastly, what tinting is that that you have on that car? I was thinking about getting my windows tinted and would like to get some ideas for how dark I'd like to go... Thanks man :)

How heavy is the wing compared to stock?

rob_4187 03-10-2005 07:50 AM

I like em both

Aredubjay 03-10-2005 08:11 AM

I've been a fan of the Black and Gold color scheme ever since I saw the Mercury Capri "Black Cat" edition back in the early 80's. AND, as much as I like "Stock" I think a thin gold pinstripe and gold SVX badges would set it off nicely.
