Best course of action
Currently I'm facing the issues of a bent control arm, a bad ball joint, and a bad wheel bearing all on the passenger front side.
My plan is to buy a new ball joint, new wheel bearing, and locate a control arm (anyone selling?). I will install the control arm and ball joint myself, and while in the process of this I am planning to take the hub into the dealership to have them install the wheel bearing as I do not have the tools to do that myself. My question to the forum is, is this the best way to do this? Or is there any feedback or suggestions on what I should do instead? Thanks |

Re: Best course of action
I guess it will depend on how long you will be keeping your SVX and how much you willing to spend?
Did you hit a pot hole or curb? If you want to replace them used, let me know |
Re: Best course of action
This is gonna seem like a silly question but if you're going the route of used parts, why not just buy the whole arm/bj/arm assembly and then simply swap it out? That's what I'd do.

I've luckily avoided most of the more serious potholes, but the car has been like this since I received it about a month ago. Ordered the control arm and ball joint already |
