Dabob Seafood Meet #7
 

It is that time of year that we start to plan on that great meet at Dabob. This year will be #7 and the events will be as follows:

Friday July 31, 2009
. 12:00 clam digging & oyster picking
. dinner as needed and group potluck
. 9:00 campfire gathering, drinking, stories etc.

Saturday Aug 1, 2009
. 9:30 - 12:30 Car Rally (like the last one, but Norm & Emett proof)
. 1:30 (or so) Seafood Feast (we also have some food that is not seafood if you don't like it)
. Afternoon - Dig clams, pick oysters, Pick Crab Pots, Kayak
. Afternoon - beach comb, kick tires, swim, look at cars
. Evening - EAT leftovers, campfire, Drinking etc.

Sunday Aug 2, 2009
. Earl's waffle fest
. 10:00 If there is interest, a senic drive
. Misc activities and fun
. Cram in more fun before leaving for home. :(

There will be a Rally on Sat morning and the main seafood event will be early Saturday afternoon.

I have some rooms that are available and will be assigned for best usage during the weekend. (first come, first served) There is a nice grassy area for tents, or there are other areas for sleeping outside under cover if wanted. If you bring sleeping bags, there will be a comfortable place for you.

People usually bring food that can be shared for the meals that they will be at and we potluck it. The Seafood Fest and Waffle Fest will be hosted by Earl, but if people want to bring stuff that goes with them, that would be great.

Bring your own drinks or drinks that can be shared. There is a good store about 10 and another 15 miles away if we run out of anything.

Sign up for any or all of the days. Let me know if you have any questions. An event like this always keeps people busy and having fun. The water is warm and there are many activities in and on it. :)

Count me in!

I'm assuming Corrina and Kaylee as well.

And if all goes well, maybe I'll actually be able to bring my SVX to this meet for the first time in several years!

I dont think Ill be making it this year, I now have to work full weekends... Ill miss the great company/food/cars/everything else :(

What a DRAG! That's the weekend of my 40th Dayton Chaminade High School Reunion!!!

Maybe Mary Ann won't want to go to Ohio in July?

Well, since I'm usually the one who reliably attends and has the longest drive...:cool:

They are now talking about moving it up one week so I'll be able to "Do my West Coast THANG!"
