Hell mang, do what you want. Don't let our opinions get in the way of you and your car.

I think everybody ought to be a little nicer to you, though perhaps you should read up a bit more on what is beneficial to your car, and what will hurt it.

We were all young, we all had silly ideas about how to make our cars faster at one point or another. And we've probably all been schooled by people who know more than us. I think the problem is that the anonymity of the internet makes people just a little meaner than they are in person.

Post em up!

Go ahead, I wont make fun of you. Hell, I'm betting that before I put some glass paks on my SVX, it was probaly the most loud and undriveable SVX's on this sight. It most likely is still one of the loudest. These are mearly speculations because I havent really gotten a chance to hear many others ( damn slow internet, got to love the ol'56K modem). The fact is your SVX is just that, yours, so dont be swayed by everyone elses opinion's of what to do to an SVX. thats my two cents.

I'd like to do some tuning on my exhaust but the emissions test here in "the vampire state" isn't friendly to that kind of thing so at best I could probably swap mufflers and maybe some pipe.Big Whoop.:(

I think mine was louder.... My sister could stand in the driveway and hear me when I was still 3-4 miles away.

Emphasis on the word WAS.... I have made changes since

Audio nerd in me has to say you'd be quite deaf. Without any obstructions, wind, ambient noise there would be a signal loss of ~76 dB. With ambient noise alone the final SPL at your driveway would need to be ~70-75 dB, thus making the source need to be ~135 dB. Factor in obstructions and absorption you'd have to be up over ~160 at least, probably quite a bit more. Would cause instant, permanent damage to ears. Quite a bit louder than a jet engine @ 30m

Sorry for the OT, couldn't resist.

@ techy: lol:lol::lol:

Cruisin, it's your car. If you want to go for it then do it, and **** what anyone else tells you. If people think you have a bad idea they will tell you, but it's your choice what to do. Besides, if the headers are ready to go then give it a shot. Why waste the effort of making them?

sicksubie 02-03-2008 09:19 PM

You could not talk on a cell phone in my car with the windows up, you could turn the radio all the way up and barely hear it...... Audio damage?? Probably... Although anyone who may have suggested I hurt my hearing, I probably didnt hear them...
