Crankshaft Depot 4340 H-beam rods?

So I was browsing around on ebay and found This listing.

Just curious if anyone has ever even heard of Crankshaft Depot. Seems like an awfully good deal. That said, I'm not even looking for anything like this at the moment, but it's just something I randomly ran into, and I'm just curious if they're the real deal in any way.

Normally, I like to steer clear of companies I've never heard of before, so I was just interested when I found this. Like I said though, seems like a good deal, maybe I'm wrong.

Any thoughts? Who DOES make good rods for our motors? Are the rods even a weak link?

Good price on the rods. I've never heard of them before. Basically the Eagle rods are the same material, a bit more expensive and use the ARP 2000 bolts, which is an upcharge on the rods you show. They are still cheaper, but again I have never heard of them before. Carillo and Pauter are a couple of other companies that make good rods. Personally for the price I think the Eagle rods were the best way to go.

those are basically the same as our Eagle rods

There should be a difference since they are rated 650+ HP and LAN's are rated 1350 HP ... ??

It looks like what they have done is get the eagle forgings with cheaper honing and cheaper hardware. I personally I think that's scummy both of the vendor and eagle's supplier to do. Eagle's machine work is exceptionally good, their prices are exceptionally good, and they designed them. For someone who didn't put in the design time to go around them and sell a lower quality version of their product for a few bucks less isn't right.
