Seeking stock exhaust behind cats, wanting to trade straight pipes
I just bought a 94 SVX. It is straight piped behind the cats and i do not like it. This SVX has 180k miles and I plan on driving it long distances. At sustained highway speed the exhaust drones and I would rather have the stock muffler on it. I am moving to the Dallas area at the end of the week, but am currently in the Kansas City area. Would anyone be interested in trading their stock post cat exhaust for a straight pipe?

What muffler are you currently using? The drone around 2500-3000 rpm is there because the resonator was removed. The exhaust needs to have an “expansion event” after the main cat to keep this from happening.
Either get an OEM resonator from a salvage yard and weld it back in the original position or use an aftermarket resonator like the AeroTurbine AR-25 in its place. https://aeroexhaust.com/i-30497603-a...ter-necks.html http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...1&d=1656378368 |

That is one fine looking exhaust you might say.

Someone here with a stock exhaust system should de able to take a measurement between the rear of the main cat and the beginning of the resonator to guide you on where to install it. Can anyone provide this measurement? . |
