SVX convertible.......I dare you!

Yes I know the SVX is a fixed window auto and only a crazy person would consider the idea..................

But, there is a Dutch supercar manufacturer called SPYKER (www.spykercars.com) that manufactures a fixed window convertible.

So, has anyone tried this yet?

Thought about it, figured it out?

Maybe an idea for those of you with extra SVX's sitting around.

someone should do a chop that gets rid of the windows completely to see how that looks. I would, but i can't use photoshop well at all.

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ight=cabriolet

but it had a more realistic answer..
to this day I know Ill do it, just not sure when

The only way which can be done correctly is if you delete the upper glass quarters and customize the lower ones to be higher.
As for the front windows, just take out the upper quarters and fabricate a complete window for the whole door.
You also need to strengthen the Chassis and lift the rear fiberglass trunk not to let water get inside (on the rear speakers), .............. LOT of work to do...

Has anyone photoshopped a SVX convertible with the top up? I am trying to picture what that would look like.

Also, it seems that everyone chops the windows off, what I envision leaves the windows intact. Similar to the spyker car. Of course it would be weird, but this is an SVX!

THanks for entertaining my folly.

now if you cutthe fixed window atthe windshield line and hadthe remainder as a removeable hardtop it wouldnt look so bad

actually with that side view pic of the cropped one withthe half windows down... it looks like a chrystler sebring with a spoiler ..... i think im gonna hurl.
