Transmission pan bolt torque: 2.5-3.3 ft.lbs

Using an inch-pound wrench, that would be 30-39.3 in. lbs

There are 16 pan bolts. If you lose or break one, the part number is 800506320

Never believe everything you read on the subaruparts.com website. They said 16, but count the holes in the basket drawing.

20 each 10mm, that's what kept my tranny pan in place. Next mystery: R & R the internal filter:eek:

I only drained about 5 qt's of atf, I have 2 big coolers & a big spin on filter, I figure 12 qt's total. I'll put in 5 new qts & cross my legs....

The interior of the tranny pan was extremely clean, no sludge or foreign particles, that tells me the spin on filter does a good job.

After 12 years & 56k miles the atf is still pink for the most part, that would be ROYAL PURPLE synthetic boys & girls......:D

Far as I can determine this tranny is a "numbers matching" original, no rebuilds!:woo:
