here we go again

Okay, listen up, pleaseeeee.
my car was running on 4 cylinders , which they have fixed. But this week it stopped dead on the road, having restarted it with no problem, it ran okay for 2 days. Then the "check engine" light came on, so I took it back to them.
No one can find anything wrong with it. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Have I been cursed !!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone else had a similar problem?
JoAnn

Hi JoAnn, did they say what the code was, that they got out of the ECU? Should have told them something.

Harvey.;)

Nothing

HI Harvey,

I told them what all 3 things that should be looked at , which I found from guys on same issue.
MAF , throttle bodies need to be cleaned, and alternator checked.

they have looked at all 3 still can't find a problem.

JoAnn I had trouble with my wifes 92 and it turned out that when the codes were read they didn't recover the two wires on the drives side under the dash. These wires are used to read the codes and to reset the system if they touch to gether or to ground they will kill the engine. Take the cover off the side were the fuse is under the dash and make sure the two wire with blue cover have the insulation up high enough to cover the bare wire. Good luck.
Tony
