SVX vs Audi S4 and S6

That video wasn't as impressive as I thought. This isn't even when we were really 'on it'.. I think we sorta puttered through that first turn at about 80.... then hit the gas on the straight and passed the rally car at about 110. Anyway, my SVX, with almost 160k, kept right up with both of them.

Cool video Rob! I agree though that it really didn't seem you were going that fast. Hmm... this just made me wonder what it must feel like to be in a rally car if just a video from the cockpit looks thrilling!

I'm just curious, are you racing on the highway there, or was it an actual legal race?

The car you passed certainly was a teensy... ostentatious!

That's because it was an actual rally car. See, he was obeying the speed limit because he was a professional and knew that 'racing' on public roads is stupid.

Just giving you sh!t, Rob. ;)

I want a video of you bottoming-out the SVX. :D

Yeah, it looks slow because of the camera. Sorry. :\

And yes, that was a closed road, do not imitate or anything, I will not be held liable (thinking maybe it was a good idea that the 130mph spring passing 2 rally cars at once wasn't on film)

One thing though... when we came OUT of that turn, the audi's tromped on the gas, and so did I. Notice how they didn't pull away. At all.

I can't wait to pick up my car!

Hmm... that's really neat! I didn't know they had actual races like that, where they close the road. I guess I thought they all were held on tracks.

What you don't learn!! :D

Eh... I promise it was a closed road.... it just didn't have any roads that said it was closed, nor were there any indications of it being closed, because occasionally there was local traffic on it...but uh....

OKAY OKAY OKAY! It wasn't closed.

:D

Just realized I typed panities, sounds like a new sea creature. Must be a cross between a manatee and a panda. :D
