Also need tranny advice

Installed used 4.11 tranny from 2.5 Legacy-worked out bugs, ran well for 800 miles. Changed trans resistor from 130 ohms to 37 ohms and within 100 miles I
have the following issues:
In park you hear a "slowly turning shaft" sound
In R no noise until moving then the car moves rearward a few feet and a slip bang rings the driveline
in N loud clunking varying with engine speed
In D the noise goes away but there is some drive slippage

please let me know what to try- I will recheck trans fluid level, disconnect resistor then test. If that is not immediate improvement, I will adjust band.
Other suggestions?????
Thanks John

130 to 37 ohms??? the nomimal spec on this resistor is 12 ohms and should be a 15 ohms 25 watt resistor. Dosen't sound good with the noises and slipage.
