Need Help!
 

I have been away from the forum for a year due to illness (old name was pottsy but have forgotten password and have changed email so wa easier to relist as DHP)

Anyway I have a problem. The car (Stingray) went in for an MOT today and failed. It sprung a leak from its ABS system during the test::mad: !

It seems as though a pipe has either developed a hairline crack or where the pipe joins the ABS unit has a failed seal - either way, whenever the brake pedel is pressed hard, fuid spings out of the system.

It is one of the 2 pipes that run top to bottom of the unit on the on the front end of the ABS unit (facing front of car).

Can I replace the pipe/seal or should I replace the whole unit?

Who knows of where such parts are available?

Is the ABS unit (mechanical element ranther than the electronics) employed on any other subaru - to aid in finding parts.

Any help verymuch appreciated.

The only SVX (that I am aware of) in Northern Ireland is grounded:eek: !!

I have already sent you a PM on this, with links to a US site for parts.

If memory serves, Isti had parts from the car he was breaking. I seem to remember he had this unit for sale on eBay, but it did not sell. I could be wrong about that, it's a while ago.

Contact me again, I will give you some emails or phone numbers to check it out.

Any progress on it this week?
