SVX in a movie!

It's been a long time since I've been around- my sincere apologies. I miss you guys, but it is kind of hard to stay connected since I stopped racing the SVreX!

Anyway, I just served as the Special Effects Coordinator on an upcoming movie called "Fireproof" (from the producers of "Facing the Giants"). One scene in the movie involved a car wreck, and I prepped the cars and created the effects.

We needed a sporty looking car for a street racer, and the car we were going to use fell through, so I couldn't resist. I offered my SVX, and it became fairly prominent in the movie.

Mine's is a 5 spd with the 4:11 final drive and a full set of Koni/GC's, so I'm sure this is the first time one has made a movie!

Watch for it- should be released in the Summer or the Fall.

Plot: Alex Kendrick said in an interview that this film would be drama/romance about marriage. Our goal is to reinforce God's intention for marriage.
Politics in movies SUCKS... when its relevant to the current times, anyway.

Will we see it in this link then?

The plot synopsis from imdb:

"Lt. Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighter's adage: Never leave your partner behind. Inside burning buildings, it's his natural instinct. In the cooling embers of his marriage, it's another story.

After a decade of marriage, Caleb and Catherine Holt have drifted so far apart that they are ready to move on without each other. Yet as they prepare to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's dad asks his son to try an experiment: The Love Dare.

While hoping The Love Dare has nothing to do with his parents' newfound faith, Caleb commits to the challenge. But can he attempt to love his wife while avoiding God's love for him? Will he be able to demonstrate love over and over again to a person that's no longer receptive to his love? Or is this just another marriage destined to go up in smoke?"

I love the imdb! Check under the cast and crew link and it even already lists all you on the special effects crew! :) Are you one of the 3 guys listed in the special effects credits? I clicked on each of their links and they each have several "big" movies to their name. I love movies and always wished I had tried harder to get into the business in any capacity, so that kind of stuff impresses me. :)

Couple of quick responses-

-Yes, widespread release.
-I meant the first 5 spd SVX in a movie.
-How is God, marriage, and firefighting about politics??
-Yes, Niku S., you are reading that right.
-Yes, I am on the special effects crew- haven't read the credits yet (there were a lot more than 3 people involved). I coordinated one of the large scenes (car- train wreck), and worked with the fire crew on the other.
