headlight cleaning tip...
 

mix some water with some baking powder to make a watery paste...grab a clean terry towel...dip a little part into the mix and start applying to the headlights. get a nice little layer of the stuff on there and rub to your heart's content. i think there was a post a few weeks ago about using baking soda...but i decided to try powder b/c baking soda is only really activated when mixed with an acid. let's just say that my headlights have never looked better. i could tell a difference even after i had just done them with that 3m stuff a couple weeks ago. it's hard for me to even detect a hint of yellowing now...and mine were pretty darn bad. if not for the little chips, i'd say they look almost new! just thought i'd spread the word :)

I posted about the baking soda - tried it this weekend and it didn't work very well at all. I'll have to try the baking powder method now. Thanks for the tip.

For the final touch try Novus plastic polish. I have been buying it for some time now to use on the face shield of my motorcycle helmet. I think the shield and headlight lenses are both the same material. Can be found at most any bike shop.

You guys don't know how to do it right at all; you're using wussy stuff. Break out the 'Chrome Polish'. It works great. :)

You have not seen "our" technique have you? Also guys, if you are going to clean headlghts, do it all the way; Take out your sand paper, remove the headlights and bake them. You know what I mean. Do a search for the how-to
