4.44 question
What is the effect of a 4.44 swap on the top speed of the svx?
|
Technically the top speed using the 4eat is limited by the engine's lack of power, so there is no noticeable change in top speed, though it might top a little higher. Not sure how much. The 3.54 I think is 192 while the 4.44 is closer to 170.
So depending on how much power you are putting out, it will either increase or reduce your absolute top speed. |
what is the difference in the cruising rpm's? Say at 70mph??

3000 RPM at 72 MPH with 4.44s with stock tires.:D ;)

Eh instead of trying to answer all your questions by reading other threads, I figure I'll just link you this one.

With 3.545; New stock tire height is 24.86", or 78.1" circumferance. or 811.2676 tire revolutions per mile. With a stock 3.545 ratio and full lock up that gives 2876.3087 driveshaft RPM or 1998.1582 engine RPM at 60 MPH. or 2395.3898 RPM at 72 MPH.:) |
Does the Manual button(2nd shift starts)on the gear selector still work after a 4.44 swap?
