Spotted - on Maui
 

I've just returned from my 'beat the winter blues' break on Maui (Yes, wonderful). There are some things you can't escape from however; how about spotting a dark teal '92 at Kekaa Drive turning onto the Honoapiilani Hwy at Kaanapali. I've spent quite a bit of time on Maui, but this was the first SVX I've seen on the island. Any of our Hawaii guys know who it might be? I Didn't see the plate, so it might have been an out of state car. Anyway, they're everywhere!

OK OK I admit... It was me... I dont REALLY live in the snowy north of pittsburgh, I live on Maui!! I'm caught in my own web of lies!! ;) :p

I saw a liquid silver w/ no spoiler the first night i was down there. But...alas i was not driving, and didnt have any say in if we went back to talk to the guy :( :(.

Nope, weren't me! But I can say this: there are far more Lamborghini Diablos running around those islands than SVX's; far, far more, especially on Oahu. Also keep in mind that approx. 50 SVX's were actually sold on the islands, and most of those have probably been shipped off. I found this out at a dealership when I took the car in to be serviced in Jan. of 2000. The service manager also remarked that they'd never worked on one until I brought mine in! :eek:

But here's a listing of what I saw and heard of:

Saw
1) laguna blue with cloth int.
1) black 92 in bad shape
1) red (94-96); the drivers never noticed there was another SVX right next to them :(
1) silver 92; owned by a really nice guy up in Manoa
1) other pearl 92

Heard of
1) pearl 94

I have to admit, it was always kind of funny to see Diablo and Testarossa drivers doing double takes. :)

Didn't see and Diablos...saw 2 vipers, a testerossa, and a RUF (tuned porsche, if you didnt know :p )
