Small Car Performance Meet

We had 6 members and 5 cars at the Small Car Performance Meet on Sat. March 22. We first meet at Small Car Performance and looked around the shop. We kicked tires and looked at each others cars, mods, and new equipment. We had rain, wind, sun, and clouds to keep us guessing the weather. After we had a chance to catch up on the cars, we all went to lunch. There was a park nearby and we went there before going home for a couple of pictures. It was a great time, and had a chance to exchange ideas and parts. :D I put some pictures in my locker and I will add a few more tomorrow. (Monday). I don't think we could ever have a bad meet as long as we get together and talk about this wonderful car! ;)

I've always liked Yellow. Who owns the yellow SVX?

BTW, you can only get away with a wing like that with Yellow...it looks pretty good. but the same wing on a Pearlie wouldn't work.

Look quick!

It's probably going to go solid white in about 16 months. Then on to Jag green and probably Bermuda blue. A new suit every two years. I painted it yellow because I'm tired of hearing "sorry I didn't see you" after someone nails me. Even then, I had to get into the gravel on the left shoulder of I-5 coming up because someone still didn't notice me. They couldn't hear my horn either. That was scary.

I don't know how a BIG chrome air horn would look on your hood, but they might be able to at least hear you! :D

That was a great time, thanks to everyone that showed up! It was nice to have a little different crowd to talk to and check out some new cars.

It is interesting to note that there were no stock SVXes there this time though.

Next time I'll make sure I show up to represent the Stock SVX crowd. is mine stock???
Yes, its stock, as far as anyone can tell.

Lets see - lights are not stock, water leak is not stock, battery is not stock - do I need to go on? :D :D :D

Lights are like oil, they are consumables, battery.. same thing, water leak...Hmmm, I wouldn't call that a Mod. Call it an added feature that any Stock or Modified SVX owner could have:rolleyes: Call it automatic Humidification, ya, thats it.

Good call, Chris. Any consumables that are replaced by something slightly different than OEM can still be considered stock. :) Automatic Humidification is pushing it though, I don't know, you may have crossed into the dark side of the mod. :D

OK, lets look at it this way, Any SVX owner may have this Subaru feature without having to ask for it, or pay extra for it, but the fact is, Subaru made it, so its stock.:p :p

My speakers are definately aftermarket Sony's, I suppose if and SVX had Panasonic speakers, then we could call them stock.

The Alternator wiring upgrade is definately a Mod, and so is the trany cooler, but if you can't tell by looking, then it doesn't count, right?:D

Ok Chris, you have a stock car! We just won't talk about the irrigation system you have now. ;)

Somebody just told me to put some wild flower seeds under the carpet to absorb the moister, and make the car more green:)
Plus, it'll make the car smell better:p
I just laughed my ass off, but now I'm starting to think it would be a good idea:eek:
Somebody slap me:confused:

WestCoastSVX 03-26-2003 09:54 AM

*SLAP!*

I hear they grow lots of green things from seeds up there in B.C. ;)

Do you really want to add weeding/mowing to your list of car maintenance tasks? Hmmm, custom chea interior? Kitty litter would also be absorptive, and could be useful if you want to take long drives with pets. (I know a lady who turned the back of her subaru into a home for her pet bobcat).

Looks like I missed my chance to photograph yellow and silver svxes. :(
