93 40k, 11thou??

Sounds like too much for a red 93 with the above stats, no?

Earthworm 03-29-2003 07:05 PM

yes it is. $6,000 depending on how it looks sounds more accurate.

JeffN 03-29-2003 08:17 PM

6k is too low. Lots of us in here want 5000-5500 for 90-110k miler 92s.

I think 8ish is decent. It's from a recent widow for her late husbands ride.

Stevebsy 03-29-2003 08:59 PM

I paid $11k for a 93 w/ 32k miles...but that was 3 years ago.

I'd think somewhere around 8k would be ok if it is in real nice shape. If it is not in primo shape, then somewhere around 6k would be more realistic.

8 is alittle high as well. I would go as high as 7 or 8 out the door. At the end of the day, it is a 10 year old car and it is a subaru (not trying to start a fight here. I used to own 3).

I bought 92 last year at Reading from the dealer for 4000 with 110k and that was a year ago so this year, I'd pay 2750 for that car.

You can do the math on the price adjustment from my calculation.

My current SVX, I got it for 2500 with 140k last year and it is the 94Lsi.

Becuase it is a 93 and only 301 were made, the low mileage and if it is in good shape, I would say somewhere between 8 and 9. That is what they are going for. It is not a 92, which had more cars than any other year. If you can get it for less, then it would be a very good deal. I know of 2 that are/were for sale that had 56K and 54K miles on them. Both were very good shape and like new. All papers and maintenance and they went for $8200 (asked $8,900)and the other - they were asking $9,000. :)

You all know that 93s are left over 92s right?

Then why were there so few 92 Reds? Like none!

Here is a quote on what you could expect to pay if you are buying from a private party.

I'm not sure if that link will really come up, if it doesn't you can just got to www.kbb.com and enter in the information. In my zip code it said it should be worth $6290 if it is in good condition.

Pensacola!! My hometown!! my SVX has made that trip a time or two!!

ensteele 03-30-2003 02:15 PM

I just ran KBB on 40K and excellent condition and the price was $ 7,650. If you can find one that is in excellent condition for that, it would be a VERY GOOD price. I don't think you could find one for that, but you might. The going price for these that I have seen is between $8,000 and $9,000. That would be a fair price. There were no 92 that came Barcelona Red, 1993 was the first year Red was offered. The reason that they go for more that Blue Book is the number that were produced. Remember, Blue Book is the price one would expect to pay. They don't always consider some of the other factors in. Just my opinion. :)

And prices on clean low miler survivors are on the rise..

Seraph 03-30-2003 06:20 PM

Earl,

What part of the KBB did you use?

For buying, I'd look at the trade in value and offer a little over that. If the condition is really really nice, I'd take the mid line between the trade in value and the sale value.

It was the private party sales section. I know that I would not sell either one of my 93s for the price that you suggest. :)
