Subaru Legacy O2 Sensors

Hey guys, how many oxygen sensors does a 1996 subaru legacy wagon have? I thought it was only one, however, i went on subaruparts.com and it states that there is a front and rear sensor...so are there two sensors for a legacy wagon? It is an L version btw. Thanks in advance, Chris

Mine only has 1, and it's interchangable with the SVX, even though a different part number.

However, mine is OBD-I. We didn't get OBD-II over here in Europe until much later than the US. Possibly the OBD-II cars have two sensors.

My 96 has 2, one up front, and one beside the cat.

My 96 Legacy wagon has 2, is OBD-II, one is on the front cat, one on the rear cat.
