Demons in my power locks.

Ok so since I have had my 92 the locks have acted really weird. The drivers side lock is not powered but the passenger side is. I havent really been able to find a solid chain of events that causes it to act up. I'll get in the drivers side (which I dont lock because the outside key hole is in really bad shape and feels like it may break if I'm not careful) and when I shut the door the passenger side door will lock and unlock or vice versa. Once the car is started I have no control of the passenger side lock, to unlock the door I have to turn off the car and press the key fob. Occasionally while driving around the passenger door will unlock or lock itself.

Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on with my locks?

It sounds like you have a problem in the driver's side door lock actuator, or the wires that run from there to the control unit. If you are technically minded, I suggest removing the actuator and inspecting it carefully. Look for worn out or corroded tracks and water inside the casing.

My old 92 had door lock problems too. I ended up pulling the actuator to find it not connected to the lock arm. Since the driver's door lock actuator is also the "lock/unlock" switch it MUST be connected to the linkage in order work the lock system properly. B3lha is correct in suggesting to inspect the actuator as this is probably where your issue lies

I remember someone else had a similar problem. Try disconnect the battery for 10 mins and reconnect.

That is correct. It can only be manually operated.

See post 4... I explained what happened when I experienced this a while back...
