Return of the SVX ????

Re: Return of the SVX ????
Very nice and to be made in the USA also. I won't hold my breath on this one though.

Re: Return of the SVX ????
I'll believe it when I see it but, I would hope that Subaru would revive the SVX name plate. It was a marketing failure, not a design failure.

Re: Return of the SVX ????
it needs a window in a window design still
and now, they can finally turbo it from the factory |
Re: Return of the SVX ????
Sounds like a lot of BS.

Re: Return of the SVX ????
If they don't offer a turbo or a 5 speed or both. Looks ain't gona get it. And they have to promote it. Under $40,000

that ain't gonna happen - the original SVX stickered for $32-$36k in 1997. its going to be AT LEAST $50k, probably more. |

Re: Return of the SVX ????
IMHO, it looks like a WRX-STI on steroids. I may be a dinosaur but I prefer the clean lines of the original SVX.

Re: Return of the SVX ????
I seriously doubt it will be the concept car in the picture...
but if its close, I wouldnt mind it. Theres still nothing else really like it on the market which is cool and somewhat ground breaking. Just the fact that Subaru is considering reviving the SVX itself is good enough for me. |

If I wanted an AWD Shooting Brake, I would want sexier, flowing lines, more like the original SVX. A study of form, function, taste and class that made it all the way to production... the Ferrari FF. and maybe the Calloway Aero wagon for the die-hard RWD crowd. Approved for production by GM as a $15,000 option http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...1&d=1402524229 http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...1&d=1402531338 This latest concept has way too many mismatched and intersecting angles that flow to nowhere. How many trapezoids can you spot? Gentlemen, let the flames begin. . |
