Ecu or climate control unit
I've been looking over wiring diagrams enough to make me go cross eyed and I am confident my fan and compressor problem is coming from a faulty ecu or my climate control unit. Does anyone have for dummies version on how to test the ecu for fan and compressor not running. I could not find a Pin out or wiring diagram.
Problem symptoms: AC compressor does not engage and radiator fans do not turn on I have some more clues that might help me solve this problem. r134 pressure is good ac amplifier functions as it should and does not throw codes. blower and other climate controls work as they should radiator fans do not turn on automatically when driving fans do not turn on when auto hi is selected no check engine light Fan LH and RH fuse are good and getting power AC fuse is good and getting power I can jump the AC relay 7 and turn on my compressor Relay fan LH2 is getting 13v at the white/ red wire and when I connect the blue/red wire to battery it turn the fan on relay fan RH2 is getting 13v at the black/ red wire and when I connect the red/white wire to battery it turns the fan on Relay fan RH1 and LH1 are both receiving 13v at red/white wire I am suspecting the ECU but I am also thinking it could be the auto amp unit Is there anything else i should be checking that can narrow my search or rule one of the two things out |
Re: Ecu or climate control unit
Bump. I'm having the same problem but my cooling fans will come on to keep the engine cool. But the ac compressor won't come on nor the fan via the ac turning it on.

Re: Ecu or climate control unit
To the OP, did you ever check for error codes? It could be the trinary switch.

Had the system charged. Was leaking thru the trianry switch. Replaced the switch and filled it back up today and still won't work ::

Re: Ecu or climate control unit
It gave two codes 00 & 41 but I haven't found what 41 is.
I dont know if it could be the ecu as talked about in this thread. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...%2Fc+diagnosis |
