hesitating on acceleration

so tonight i started my car up and started to drive and it lunged. i thought "i hope this isnt going to be an issue." well now it is cause it does it every time i attempt to accelerate. if i accelerate hard i have no problem. when just trying to slowly start moving the RMP will go from about 1000 to 1300ish then kick back down to 1k. making the car lurch. then accelerate from there.

was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and if so what the cause was and the fix to it.

thanks a lot in advance!

Re: hesitating on acceleration

Sounds like the TPS (throttle position sensor)

do a search and you'll find plenty of into

also if your SVX is an early 92 model it may just need the bead crush mod done but I would bet on your TPS.
