Atari 2800? You means 2600 or 7800?

And BTW. Atari rocks. I still have my 2600 with over 70 games. :D

Im only 16, but I had one of these when I was 13ish. I got it from a neighbor that was throwing it away. Wasnt the greatest but hey it kept me busy for quite a while, lol. ~Dennis

What is older this or the atari?

I think it's older.. Jesus just told me he doesn't even remember that thing.

I had a Colecovision before the Atari, which birthed games like Qbert, Donkey Kong, and Frogger. Yes I was alive when those games were invented. Sigh.

Oh and I still have it, it's in my parents' crawlspace in a plastic bag.

Electrophil 04-01-2006 05:06 PM

You had an atari? As a child I could only dream of owning an atari. The closest I could get to a video game was sticking my fingers into the electrical socket.

mysvxrocks 04-01-2006 10:27 PM

aaaahahahaha, old(er) people make me laugh. Since im only 16 I came into this world in the video game craze! I have had one for as long as I can remember... But my prize posession is the computer I built!

There is still an older model Atari, the one where you CANNOT plug in a game. The games are built in inside it.. :)

Younger people make me cry because of this.. they have had high powered videogames their whole lives, while we grew up with high powered imaginations.

Phast SVX 04-02-2006 07:59 AM

My father had a 2600 that we were not allowed to play often. nintendo came out shortly after i can remember, but i didnt own a video game system until nintendo 64 came out.
