To do list when replacing timing belt
I've been searching for a "do all" list here when replacing the timing belt, and can't find one.
Actually I think I have a cam seal leak, and the timing belt is a "While 'they' are in there... thing. Is there a list anywhere that tells all the things to do while the front end of the engine is open? Like water pump, cam seals, etc., etc. ? |
Water pump
Thermostat both cam seals crank seal replace any timing belt idlers that aren't silent when you spin them. Hope that helps... |
I'd add that little thermostat bypass hose (or whatever it's properly called) to Huck's list.

Thanks guys. :)
I'm going to do a search on the bypass hose. I missed that one. |
cam caps. I think 40% of oil leaks up front are caused by the caps that seal off the intake cams(top ones) There a black caps... nothing special but it makes a big difference
