Torque specs.

Hi all,

Interesting noise coming from inside timing belt cover. I think it is a noisy/bad idler pulley bearing.

I'm doing everything in there this week. Idlers, tensioner, w. pump, belt, seals...

Can someone please give me the bolt torque specs for the cam pulley bolts. I have all the other torque specs from previous work.

I did the belt and pump 14,000 mi. ago and everything was smooth and quiet. Decided NOT to do the seals because they didn't appear to be leaking...then. Appear to be now though!

Engine has about 100,000 mi(used), so I guess to be safe I should have just done it ALL, 14,000 mi. ago. Better safe than sorry? Not really knowing the history of the engine, it probably would have been smart... hindsight...

At least, I heard the noise BEFORE anything BAD(expensive) happened.

Thanks for the continued help/support everyone so willingly gives here. It is truly a pleasure to know you are all out there... somewhere!

"cleaned up a little" is a bit of an understatement isn't it? Thanks from me too.:)

I will put it in the How-To Locker when I have the chance. I have been inside all day - too cold to do anything out there. 10 - 15 deg F. :) Thought it may be easier to read. :) If you have the original, you might check the numbers for me. Some were a little hard to read. :)

Earl, the only numbers I could question are the service hole plug and timing belt idler (if anybody else can verify). But my original is poor enough that your guess is as good as mine - rest looks like a match.

My "original" is a CD-ROM from Alldata. The data on it looks like somebody made a copy from a copy.
